How Do I Receive My Payout?
Makeity currently sends creator payouts through PayPal only.
Before receiving your first payout, you must add a valid PayPal account, verify that the account belongs to you, complete the required tax form, and submit a valid identity document.
Bank transfers and other payout methods are not currently available. Additional payout options may be added in the future.
Requirements Before Receiving Payment
Your payout cannot be processed until all required payment and verification steps have been completed.
- Add a valid PayPal account to your Makeity profile
- Verify ownership of the PayPal account
- Complete the required tax form
- Upload a valid government-issued identity document
- Make sure your legal details match across all submitted information
- Complete and receive approval for an eligible Makeity project
Add Your PayPal Account
Enter the email address connected to the PayPal account where you want to receive your Makeity payouts.
Before submitting your PayPal details, confirm that:
- The email address is entered correctly
- The PayPal account is active
- The account is able to receive payments
- The PayPal account belongs to you
- The account is available in your country
Check Your PayPal Email Carefully
An incorrect PayPal email address may cause your payout to be delayed, returned, or sent to the wrong account.
Verify PayPal Account Ownership
Before Makeity sends a payout, you may be required to confirm that the PayPal account belongs to you.
Makeity may request supporting information showing the PayPal account holder’s name and the email address connected to the account.
Depending on the verification request, you may need to provide:
- A screenshot from your PayPal account
- The account holder’s legal name
- The verified PayPal email address
- Additional proof requested by Makeity Support
Complete the Required Tax Form
Beginning in July, creators must complete the applicable tax form before receiving payouts.
U.S. citizens and other creators treated as U.S. taxpayers must complete the tax form provided for U.S. persons.
Creators who are not U.S. persons must complete the applicable form provided for creators outside the United States.
Upload a Valid Identity Document
You must upload a valid government-issued identity document before your payout can be approved.
Accepted documents may include:
- A passport
- A national identity card
- A driver’s license
- Another valid government-issued photo ID accepted by Makeity
Your document should be:
- Valid and not expired
- Clear and fully visible
- Uploaded in good lighting
- Free from blurred or hidden information
- Issued in the name of the creator receiving the payout
Identity Details Must Match
Your identity document, Makeity account, PayPal ownership information, and tax form should contain consistent legal details. Differences may delay the verification process.
Complete an Eligible Project
Finishing the payout setup does not create a payment by itself. You must also complete an eligible Makeity project.
The project must generally be:
- Accepted through Makeity
- Completed according to the project brief
- Submitted through the official order
- Approved by the business
- Marked as completed and eligible for payout
Receive Payment During a Payout Cycle
Makeity processes eligible creator payouts on the 15th and the 30th of each month.
Your payment may be included in the next available cycle after your project and verification requirements are complete.

A valid PayPal email address has been added to your account.

You completed the correct form for your U.S. or non-U.S. status.

A payout may be delayed when payment, identity, tax, or project requirements are incomplete.
Common reasons include:
- The PayPal email address is incorrect
- The PayPal account cannot receive payments
- PayPal ownership verification is incomplete
- The identity document is missing, expired, or unclear
- The legal name does not match across submitted information
- The required tax form has not been completed
- The tax form contains missing or incorrect information
- The project has not yet been approved
- The order missed the current payout processing cycle
- The payout is undergoing an additional review
What Should I Do If I Have Not Received My Payout?
First, check your Makeity account, PayPal account, verification status, and project status.
Confirm that:
- Your PayPal email address is correct
- Your PayPal account is active
- Your PayPal account can receive payments
- Your account ownership has been verified
- Your identity document was accepted
- Your tax form was submitted
- Your project was completed and approved
- The applicable payout date has already passed
